King of Envy was an easy five-star read for me and, without question, my favourite book in Ana Huang's Kings of Sin series. With addictive chemistry, emotional tension, compelling characters and a romance that had me completely invested, this book delivered everything I wanted and more.

I had high expectations going into King of Envy, especially as a fan of Ana Huang's Kings of Sin series, but this book completely exceeded them. From the very beginning, I was hooked.

The relationship at the centre of the story was my favourite part of the book. The chemistry between the characters was incredible, but it was the emotional tension and connection between them that really made the romance stand out for me. Every interaction had me wanting to know what would happen next, and I became completely invested in their journey.

Ana Huang does a fantastic job of creating characters with complicated emotions and relationships, and King of Envy is no exception. There is plenty of tension, vulnerability and longing woven throughout the story, making the romance feel intense and impossible not to root for.

The pacing also worked perfectly for me. The story kept moving while still giving the important emotional moments time to land. I never felt like I was waiting for the plot to pick up, and every chapter made me want to keep reading. This was definitely one of those books where I kept telling myself I would stop after one more chapter, only to find myself reading far longer than planned.

One of the things I loved most about King of Envy was how deeply invested I became in the characters. Their story had me feeling every moment of tension, frustration and romance alongside them. By the time I reached the final pages, I knew this had become my favourite book of the entire Kings of Sin series.
