My Spoiler-Free Review

On Wings of Blood was one of those books that completely consumed my attention. From the moment I started reading, I was pulled into its dark and atmospheric world and found myself wanting to uncover every secret hiding beneath the surface.

The world-building is one of the biggest highlights of the book. There is so much to discover, and the combination of magic, dragons, danger and political intrigue creates a world that feels both exciting and unpredictable. I loved being thrown into the story alongside the characters and gradually discovering more about the world and the forces at play.

The plot kept me constantly invested. There are plenty of twists, secrets and moments where I genuinely wasn't sure what was going to happen next. I especially loved the feeling that there was always another piece of the puzzle waiting to be uncovered. The higher the stakes became, the harder I found it to put the book down.

The romance is another huge reason this earned five stars from me. The chemistry and tension between the characters add so much to the story without taking away from the fantasy. Their relationship keeps you invested emotionally while everything around them continues to become more dangerous.

I also really enjoyed the darker atmosphere of the book. It doesn't shy away from danger or difficult situations, which gives the story a sense of urgency and makes the stakes feel genuinely high.

Most importantly, On Wings of Blood gave me that feeling I look for in a romantasy: finishing a chapter and immediately needing to know what happens next. It was addictive, immersive and incredibly easy to lose myself in.
